Edel Harris, Chief Executive

Edel Harris joined Cornerstone as Chief Executive in May 2008.  She had previously been Deputy Chief Executive at Aberdeen Foyer, a charitable organisation working with homeless and unemployed young people.  Edel has a first class honours degree in Health and Social Care and has spent all her career working in the public and charitable sectors.  Edel is a Director of Corners Turned Ltd, the Davie Cooper Centre, Aberdeen and Grampian Chamber of Commerce and a former trustee of the Fragile X Society.  She spends her free time swimming, watching football and enjoying time with her family.

John Grant, Deputy Chief Executive

John was General Manager with Shetland Welfare Trust for five years prior to joining Cornerstone in 2005, initially as Head of Operations.  John has thirty years' experience of providing social work and social care services in both statutory and voluntary care sectors and has worked within rural, island and urban communities. He is a current board member of Community Care Providers Scotland (CCPS).

Liz Delaney, Head of Corporate Services

Liz joined Cornerstone in 2005, as the Learning & Development Manager and joined  the Senior Management Team in January 2009. Liz previously worked in the private sector and following redundancy decided on a career change to the voluntary sector. Liz is passionate about developing people to reach their full potential and is currently a volunteer mentor for students at Caledonian University Liz is a keen jogger and de stresses by boxing and spending time in the gym.

Lynne Robertson, Director of Finance & Fundraising

Mark Rait, Head of Marketing & Enterprise

Mark joined Cornerstone in March 2009 having previously worked as a consultant providing governance, sustainability and investment strategies for voluntary organisations, social enterprises and social investors in Scotland's third sector. In his early career Mark worked as Royal Marines officer and co-founded an executive recruitment company in London. Mark left the private sector in 2004 to follow his passion for social justice and social inclusion.  Mark is an outdoors enthusiast and raised over £20,000 for charity by running the Marathon Des Sables in 2003.

Jayne Findlay, Regional Director - North

Jayne undertook Registered Learning Disability Nurse training in Aberdeen and has been managing community based social care services since 1993. Jayne joined Cornerstone in November 1998, undertaking various roles in Aberdeenshire and recently completed an MSc in Management at Robert Gordon University, basing her research on Telecare which, along with autism, continues to be issues that she has a particular interest in.

Kevin Toshney - Regional Director - Central

Kevin has been with Cornerstone since 2006 having previously worked for various local and national voluntary organisations.  Kevin has a strong interest in the role of the voluntary sector and social enterprises to meet diverse personal and social needs and to promote social justice.  He is keen to ensure that the Cornerstone reputation for delivering reliable, flexible and personalized support services is maintained and enhanced throughout his region.

Hazel Brown - Regional Director - West

Hazel has been with Cornerstone since September 2008 having previously worked in a variety of sectors. Originally qualified as a mental health nurse she has worked with a wide range of client groups including learning disabilties, forensic services, older people and autism specific services. She is committed to the principles of inclusion and personalisation and is proud to be part of a value driven and high quality organisation.

Michael Doolin - Regional Director - East

Michael has been working for Cornerstone for 10 years in various management positions and has over 20 years experience working within many disciplines in social care services. He has a proven track record in developing services and is looking forward to developing business and building relationships in the east region so that Cornerstone can share our expertise in delivering truly person centred services designed to enable the people we support to enjoy a valued life.
