Scam Alert02 Apr 2021
We have been made aware very recently of an individual who received a phone call from someone pretending to be from Cornerstone, trying to solicit donations. The caller gave a London address, and also asked for donations by cheque, and may be using fake bank account details. We take this matter extremely seriously and are currently investigating it through the appropriate channels and offering support to the individual involved.
Cornerstone will never cold-call someone to ask for donations. We are incredibly grateful to anyone who chooses to support us and would urge all supporters to remain vigilant and aware of such scams. We will only ever ask for donations through secure means, either via our secure website www.cornerstone.org.uk or Facebook page www.facebook.com/cornerstonescotland or by cheque to one of our registered offices – visit www.cornerstone.org.uk/contact-us/our-branches or by calling our central number 0300 131 3333.
If you or anyone you know has any concerns or hears of any suspicious activity please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 0300 131 3333. Many thanks for your support.
