As with any board of directors, the role of our 13 strong team is to help steer Cornerstone towards ethical and legal governance. We have a strong and diverse group of individuals currently on our board, who continually help Cornerstone work towards the organisation's success.
Elaine is now retired from a career in IT. She joined the Cornerstone board after leaving the Scottish Parliament where she was MSP for Aberdeen North from 1999-2003. Elaine has seen the charity through the challenging economic climate when she served as chair from 2005 until 2012 handing over to her successor Peter Nicholson at the 2012 AGM.
Judith’s 30 year career in international commercial and legal management includes major companies like Marks & Spencer, Baker Hughes and Subsea 7. Since 2015, she has concentrated on philanthropic work. She joined Cornerstone as an ambassador in 2015 and joined the board in 2017. Judith is chair of the Cornerstone Foundation committee.
