Edel Harris, Chief Executive
Edel Harris joined Cornerstone as Chief Executive in May 2008 having previously been Deputy Chief Executive of Aberdeen Foyer. Edel’s background is in health promotion, holding a 1st class honours degree in Health and Social Care, she worked for the Metropolitan Police and NHS Grampian and has significant experience in leading a commercial social enterprise and in developing new social care services.
Edel is a Director of Aberdeen Football Club Charitable Trust and of Opportunity North East (ONE) and was elected President of Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce in June 2015 to June 2017.
Edel lives in Stonehaven, Aberdeenshire with her husband and she has two grown up sons. She enjoys swimming, spending time with her family and is an avid football fan.
Lynne Robertson, Leader of Cornerstone Central
Lynne, a Chartered Accountant, joined Cornerstone in 2006 as Head of Finance and assumed responsibility for Fundraising in 2008.
Lynne qualified with Ernst & Young and during her time with the firm worked in Aberdeen, Glasgow and London. While at Ernst & Young she gained a wide range of experience including as a client handler, specialising in advising Entrepreneurial Companies, as a Senior Manager in the firms training department providing both technical and management development training and latterly as National Programme Director for the Entrepreneur Of The Year programme.
Mairi Martin, Leader (Strategy Implementation)
Mairi Martin joined Cornerstone as Director of Human Resources and Learning and Development in August 2013. Mairi was previously the Executive Director (Resources) at Irvine Housing Association and then the Riverside Group. Prior to that she was Head of IT for Credit Consultants International. Her career has spanned working in both public and private sector organisations.
During Mairi's career she has gained a wealth of experience and knowledge in back office support functions and thrives on making a difference to employees. Her most recent achievement was attaining 23rd position of the Sunday Times Best Companies to Work For in the Not-For-Profit sector.
Mairi is also very active in her community and is a member of the local primary school's Parents Association. She is also a leader of the local Girl Guiding Rainbow pack.
Mairi thoroughly enjoys getting on her bike and regularly cycles the Pedal for Scotland for charity.
Hazel Brown, Leader of Exceptional Service (Quality)
Hazel has been with Cornerstone since September 2008 having previously worked in a variety of sectors. Originally qualified as a mental health nurse she has worked with a wide range of client groups including learning disabilties, forensic services, older people and autism. She is committed to the principles of inclusion and personalisation and is proud to be part of a value driven and high quality organisation.
Lisa Duthie, Leader of the Cornerstone Foundation
Lisa joined the Senior Management Team at Cornerstone in October 2013 as Director of Corporate Relations & Fundraising. With a diverse background spanning 20 years in Health & Social Care, Lisa’s career has included the development and management of projects in Mental Health, Substance Misuse, Healthy Eating, Physical Activity and Tobacco. Having spent 10 years working within Health Promotion at NHS Grampian, Lisa then moved to Aberdeen Foyer where she spent the next 10 years within the Health Team and latterly as Health Team Manager.
Lisa graduated from RGU with an MSc in Health Improvement, and remains an active member of RGU’s Alumni Council, a Common Purpose graduate and current member of the Institute of Fundraising Heads & Directors Forum.
Lisa lives in Aberdeen with her husband Steve, and spends a lot of her time in Deeside hill-walking and taking photographs. Lisa’s main passions in life include her family, travel, keeping fit, cooking and enjoying good food and people.
Keith Taylor, Director of Business Development
Keith Taylor joined Cornerstone's Senior Management Team in 2011. Following a full career commission in the Royal Navy, he has committed the last 20 years of his working life to the charitable sector at Director level, latterly in the position of Executive Director at Erskine Hospital. With a proven track record of financial and operational management of social enterprises, Keith is an asset to Cornerstone.
