Date: 1 June - 3 June 2010
Venue: Scottish Parliament, Edinburgh, EH99 1SP
Our History of Social Care Exhibition, 'Changing Times, Changing Attitudes: Mapping 30 Years of Social Care', is opening on Tuesday 1 June 2010 at the Scottish Parliament, Edinburgh.
This year, Cornerstone is celebrating 30 years of providing care and support to over 1,000 people with disabilities and other support needs in Scotland. Among the many exciting events that we have planned, is a travelling exhibition which focuses on the history of social care over the last 100 years and in particular the last 30 years; it will feature elements from the Heatherbank Museum of Social Work collection, and art developed by our artist in residence, Adam Proctor, which will detail the memories of people we support from living in long-stay hospitals to their new life as valued members of their community.
The exhibition will be open from 1 to 3 June at the Scottish Parliament, with dates coming soon for Dundee, Glasgow and Aberdeen.
