Tartan Hearts Ceilidh

Join us for a night of dancing, entertainment and fundraising at Cornerstone’s Tartan Hearts Ceilidh in Dumbarton this Valentine weekend.

Cornerstone’s ‘Home is where the heart is’ appeal aims to raise £300,000 to support the development of Baxter View in West Dunbartonshire - an innovative purpose built development which will provide homes for people with high dependency autism and other complex needs.

Due to a lack of local residential facilities, some people with disabilities have had to live outside of West Dunbartonshire where they have been supported in accommodation that doesn’t suit their changing needs, does not provide quality of life due to its institutional nature and is remote from their families and local communities.

Having your own space to live in and a place to call home is something many of us take for granted but for people with disabilities it can be one of the many challenges they face in life.  For the future residents we are offering an opportunity to move out of shared accommodation, gain independence and return to their support network of family and friends.

We need the support of the community to help make this happen.

So dust of your dancing shoes and get a group of friends together for what promises to be an amazing night….and remember to BYOB! Tickets are £10 and are available by contacting Trisha McCoy on trisha.mccoy@cornerstone.org.uk or call 0141 941 1012
