Advice and Support Co-ordinator (ASC)
"I had lost my enthusiasm in my last job and felt I needed a change. I embraced the opportunity to apply for a senior admin assistant post and gladly accepted the role.
In the senior admin post, I gained a lot of experience working on the operational side of the organisation. I learned lots of things about how the services run and what was important to the people we support. After completing my qualification in Business Administration through the Cornerstone Training Academy, I was ready for a new challenge. This came in my current role of the advice & support co-ordinator (ASC), which I’ve been in now since September 2017.
There has been a lot of work to get the ASC line up and running (a central number for the public and colleagues to call for any enquiries relating to Cornerstone). A year on and we are now seeing by the increase in call and email volume how the service we provide helps our colleagues and external customers alike. By simplifying our processes, it means that enquiries are resolved effectively and quickly. It’s a very rewarding job and a nice feeling knowing that we can help people on a daily basis. I have my passion back and am doing something I truly believe in."
