We offer a wide range of volunteering opportunities including befriending, group activities and helping out at events.
We are keen to build our Scotland-wide network of volunteers. Your skills and enthusiasm will be put to good use, and in return we will offer you rewarding opportunities that will benefit the people we support. A volunteer befriender gives their time and friendship to someone who may be lonely, isolated or wanting to meet new people.
Befriending is often seen as the fun side of volunteering. You could help someone to access a group in their local community, join them for a movie at the cinema, enjoy a cuppa at the local café, or just have a friendly conversation. It’s these little things that make the biggest impact. Befriending is a gradual process and we can provide any training you may need so that you are comfortable in your befriending role.
If you can spare a couple of hours once a week or fortnight then click below to see our current befriending opportunities across Scotland, or call us on 0300 131 3333.
We run a variety of group activities across Scotland for both children and adults with disabilities. These activities range from social clubs, boccia, football, arts & crafts, music and we plan on starting many more. We rely on volunteers to keep these clubs going. Come along to help out and meet some wonderful people.

The Cornerstone Foundation delivers a variety of events throughout the year in order to raise awareness and vital funds to continue our work. These events range from concerts, fashion shows, dinners, sports challenges and many others. Our dedicated Volunteer Events Team make these events a success.
This is a flexible role and ideal for someone who wants to help without having much time to spare. Volunteers can opt in or out of each event to suit their own busy schedule.

We are very fortunate to have a group of people who promote and represent Cornerstone in an ambassadorial role. Our volunteer ambassadors raise awareness of Cornerstone's fundraising activities and actively encourge others in their community to get involved.
At Cornerstone we offer a wide range of corporate volunteering opportunities to any organisation, from transforming gardens to building greenhouses. This gives our corporate volunteers the opportunity to help the people we support in their local community, with the added bonus of developing some new skills.
Are you interested in any of the above opportunities, or do you have something to offer that you think we’ve missed? If so, we want to hear from you. Just get in touch by emailing VolunteerEnquiries@cornerstone.org.uk or call on 0300 131 3333.
