Celebrate Aberdeen parade a great success

Cornerstone was delighted to be part of Celebrate Aberdeen on Saturday 11 June.  The event was a huge success with 3000 people from charities and cultural, sporting and performing arts groups parading down Union Street to the Castlegate in a festival of colour.

The event was inspired by Morven MacKenzie of MacKenzie PR and saw a coalition of over 130 organisations and community groups come together to celebrate the fantastic work that goes on within the sector.

We'd like to take this opportunity to thank our volunteers, staff, people we support and friends, who came out to parade for Cornerstone on the day. The parade was a great way to raise awareness of Cornerstone and recognise the hard work carried out by all the participating charities, social enterprises and volunteering organisations.

A special thank you to BP who were our corporate sponsors for the parade and supported our participation. Their encouragement and acknowledgement of the important work we do is invaluable.
