Services took part in the annual Children’s Day festivities on Wednesday, July 20 at sites across the country.
Events were held in Glasgow, Irvine, Renton, Elgin, Aberdeen and Dundee while staff from all Cornerstone offices took part in the #WheresTeddy social media campaign where they were challenged to hide a teddy bear in a photo for viewers to try and find to raise awareness of the day.
As well as providing a fun day out for the children supported by Cornerstone and their families, Children’s Day is also an important event to raise the profile of the charity with some of the events open to the public as well as people and families Cornerstone supports.
Cornerstone’s Children and Young People Services Manager, Susan Lorimer, said: “Children’s Day is a fantastic event that provides fun activities for the children we support and their families during the summer holidays and we are delighted that so many people came along to our events and made them such a success.
“The range of activities on offer meant that there was something for everyone and the photos from the day really highlight just how much fun was had. Our children’s services offer some respite to families while providing the children we support with a safe and nurturing environment to meet new people and grow in confidence.”
