Cornerstone will host its 12th annual fundraising dinner at Aberdeen’s Ardoe House Hotel in April.
The Cornerstone annual dinner has raised almost £500,000 since the first event in 2004, with last year’s raising an impressive £50,000.
This year’s dinner will take place on Thursday, April 23, and is being sponsored by BP, CNR International and Petrofac.
The hugely popular black tie event is a firm fixture in the North-east social calendar, with all proceeds going directly towards Cornerstone’s Quality of Life programme, which aims to transform the daily lives of local people with disabilities and additional support needs. The programme offers a range of opportunities and resources depending on individual needs. This can include access to social and recreational activities, as well as the purchase of items and equipment which allow for greater independence, enabling individuals with disabilities to lead a more active life within their community.
The tables are on sale for £1,000 for a table of 10, which includes a champagne reception, three course meal, fundraising auction and entertainment by the topical musical comedy duo, Vic Rodrick and Annie Gunner Logan, who specialise in political parody.
Lisa Duthie, Cornerstone’s Director of Fundraising, said: “The Cornerstone annual dinner has become a very popular event, and we are thrilled that it will be hosted at Ardoe House Hotel for the first time this year.
“The event is designed to bring together Cornerstone’s supporters from all sectors of the business community and is an ideal opportunity to make and reinforce valuable contacts while supporting a great cause.
“We are extremely grateful to BP, CNR International and Petrofac for their continued support which has always enabled us to make this event a huge success and allowed us to raise significant amounts of money to continue our work caring for adults, young people and children throughout the North East who need our support.”
