Cornerstone, will host its annual fundraising dinner at Aberdeen’s Marcliffe Hotel, the last time the event will be held at the landmark venue before it closes its doors later in the year.
Celebrating its 11th year at the Marcliffe, the Cornerstone annual dinner has raised more than £440,000 since the first event in 2004, with last year’s event raising a massive £42,000.
This year’s event will be held on Thursday, April 24 and is being sponsored by BP, Petrofac and CNR.
The hugely popular black tie event is a firm fixture in the North-east social calendar, with all money raised being used to support children, young people and adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, mental health problems and other support needs across Scotland.
Entertainment at this year’s event will be provided by the topical musical comedy duo, Vic Rodrick and Annie Gunner Logan, who specialise in political parody.
The tables are on sale for £950 for a table of 10, which includes a champagne reception, three course meal, fundraising auction and entertainment.
Lisa Duthie, Cornerstone’s Director of Fundraising, said: “The annual Cornerstone fundraising dinner has become a very popular event and this year will be that little bit more special as it’s the final time at the Marcliffe.
“Anyone wishing to come along and enjoy an evening of great entertainment while raising money for a very worthy cause is urged to buy their tickets as soon as possible.
“We would like to wholeheartedly thank Stewart Spence and his staff at the Marcliffe for the support they have shown Cornerstone over last 11 years in hosting our fundraising dinners, they’ve pulled out all the stops to ensure our events have been successful.
“Everyone at Cornerstone would also like to thank the ongoing support of BP, Petrofac and CNR. The help given has enabled us to make this event a huge success and allowed us to raise significant amounts of money to continue our work caring for children and adults throughout Scotland who need our support.
