Cornerstone has launched a ‘Phones for Funds' campaign to help support their work in the community. The campaign encourages people to donate their old mobile phones to help improve the lives of adults, children and young people with disabilities and other support needs.
This is the second time the charity has launched the appeal; last year Cornerstone raised over £1,500 pounds by recycling old handsets. Cornerstone's Trust and Individual Fundraiser, Linda Shaw, who is organising the campaign, said "At this time of year many people receive new mobile phones for Christmas and it is the perfect time for us to appeal for their old ones."
"We are appealing to companies along with members of the public to support our ‘Phones for Funds' campaign by donating their old handsets. Not only will the old phones be recycled, but the donation will help enable the people Cornerstone support to enjoy a valued life."
Anyone wishing to support the ‘Phones for Funds' campaign by donating their old mobile can do so by sending it to Cornerstone, Atholl House, 86 - 88 Guild Street , Aberdeen,AB11 6LT.
