Cornerstone's social firm, Gift Corner, is to open its doors to the public and is encouraging locals to come along and visit the premises and meet the staff this Saturday, September 29, between 10am and 4pm.
Members of the local community are being urged to pop by, enjoy some coffee and cupcakes and see what the shop has to offer. Much of the items on sale at Gift Corner are produced at Woodview Embroidery and Printing, which is part of the same organisation and both operations support people with disabilties.
James Hinksman, Production Supervisor, said: "We thought this was a great way to show the local community exactly what we have to offer here at Gift Corner.
"We would like to invite everyone along to the open day, it's going to be a very informal gathering and a great way to meet with some of the staff and see all the hard work that takes place here."
Situated on Evan Street, Gift Corner is the town centre shop which sells goods produced at Woodview and also stocks a range of other gift items.
