Children as young as four from the Step by Step Nursery in Aberdeen presented harvest packages to the residents at Cornerstone's Garthdee service.
Pupils put into practice what they have been learning at nursery by donating harvest packages to people supported by Cornerstone, a provider of care and support services in the community. The nursery, which asked children and their parents to donate food parcels, has been teaching the pupils about the harvest festival as well as the importance of being kind.
Commenting on their donation Jan Massie, Manager of Step by Step Nursery in Danestone said "The children are delighted to be donating and delivering the harvest packages in person. It's a fantastic opportunity for them learn about being kind and the importance of sharing, as well as gaining an understanding of people with disabilities. The children have been very involved in making up the packages and will get to see fist hand the effect their donation has."
Gillian Robertson, Assistant Service Manager of Cornerstone's Garthdee service said "The people we support are really excited about the children coming to visit. They love receiving visitors and will benefit from these harvest packages."
