We are delighted to announce that Cornerstone has been named as a finalist in three categories at the prestigious 2013 Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) Care Accolades; ‘Investing in the Workforce, Developing Practice’ for our Student Social Work Placment Project, ‘Children and Young People’ for our Fostering Service and ‘One to Watch’ for our Positive Tracks project..
The 10th annual SSSC Care Accolades will recognise and reward Scotland’s most outstanding social service projects, services and initiatives. The winners will be announced at an afternoon tea and award ceremony at the Perth Concert Hall on Friday, May 31.
Cornerstone Chief Executive, Edel Harris, said she was delighted the hard work of her team had been recognised.
“Being named as finalists in three categories at the 2013 SSSC Care Accolades is testament to the efforts being put in by Cornerstone staff throughout Scotland to ensure the people we support live a full and valued life,” she said.
“Cornerstone is involved in a range of services all over Scotland, from community justice programmes to fostering and family placements, and it is great that this is being recognised by such an important organisation as the SSSC.
“We would like to thank all our staff for their ongoing hard work and look forward to the awards ceremony in May.”
