A team of 30 walkers tackled a leg of the West Highland Way to raise money for Cornerstone. The team aimed to raise £500 from the walk which took place on the 2nd of July.
Cornerstone staff, relatives of people we support, friends and family and even a dog walked from Crianlarich to Tyndrummiles in support of Cornerstone. All are delighted to have reached their fundraising target.
The money raise will help the people we support in the West of Scotland and donations will go to local TASK groups. Task groups are organised by the people we support and meet regularly so they can discuss issues important to them, socialise and organise activities.
Hazel Brown, Cornerstone's Regional Director for the West of Scotland said 'We were so lucky that we got one of the best days of the summer so far, although I'm sure it led to a few burnt shoulders and noses.
The scenery on the walk was really stunning on such a beautiful day. Its really nice that people took time out to come together and take part in this, it raises funds for Cornerstone, brings people together for a fun activity and gets you fit at the same time, three birds with one stone!"
