Care is at the heart of everything that we do at Cornerstone including our fundraising. We know that our donors and supporters care about Cornerstone, and we care about our donors having the best experience with us.

We take our responsibilities to our supporters seriously. We’re signed up to the Scottish Fundraising Standards Panel and are committed to its Fundraising Guarantee. We invest in our Fundraisers through membership to the Chartered Institute of Fundraising Scotland (CIOFS) and adhere to their Fundraising Code of Practice.

We will monitor third parties that we work with on our fundraising, and fundraising communications to ensure that they also follow this Code of Practice. You can request a copy of the third party providers we work with, and why, at any time by emailing [email protected]

We promise to operate in line with the values of the Code; to be Legal, Open, Honest and Respectful in all our fundraising. To promote and underpin these values, we commit to the following standards:

  • We will be clear about who we are and what we do.
  • We will give a clear explanation of how you can make a gift and change or stop a regular donation.
  • If you do not want to give or wish to cease giving, we will respect your decision.
  • We will respect your rights and privacy.
  • We will support people who are vulnerable in a sensitive and compassionate way, including where appropriate refunding donations if we feel they may expose someone to risk of financial harm.
  • We will hold your data securely.
  • We will communicate with you in accordance with your selected preferences.

If you feel that we have not met our own high standards or think that our fundraising could be improved, then we would love to hear from you.
