Craig Grant Young Scot Awards Achievement

The Sunday Mail Young Scot Awards is a yearly event celebrating the achievements of exceptional young people in Scotland. Cornerstone was delighted to hear that a person we support, Craig Grant, was nominated for a Young Scot Award 2020, commending his support within the local community!

Craig, who is supported by our North Lanarkshire Community Support Airdrie Central service, has cerebral palsy but refuses to let the condition stop him from living life to the full. By using a computer to help him communicate, Craig ensures that his voice is heard on behalf of him and other disabled people. He speaks at local primary schools to raise awareness about his condition and the realities of life with a disability. Known for his infectious positive mental attitude, Craig is passionate about spreading the message to young children to ‘be kind and celebrate everyone’s uniqueness.'

Craig, who was nominated by Michelle Carr, a team member at our North Lanarkshire Community Support service, said

“Thank you so much for my nomination, I am so happy and over the moon”.

Cornerstone is extremely proud of Craig, and we are delighted that his achievements have been recognised by the Young Scot Awards.
