Our community support services provide assistance in a similar way to housing support services and care at home (support services) but is usually for shorter periods of time during the day or night. Our teams can also provide short-term, overnight respite care. Read more
Day care services offer community-based opportunities for people we support to engage with others and take part in a range of activities. Read more
Our housing support services are delivered in a person's own residence or in shared tenancies with a number of other people. Support time can vary from a few hours a week to 24 hours to meet the needs you have. Read more
Within the Scottish Borders branch, our Community Support teams and Galashiels Day Support team provide care and support to people in and around the central Borders.
Community Support covers Galashiels, Kelso, and Tweedbank (care at home and housing support), where we provide support to people within their own homes or living with a family member. We currently provide support to 32 adults with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs.
At Galashiels Day Support Connects, we provide care and support to people accessing building-based support with complex needs, learning disabilities, and various health care requirements. We are currently providing support to 30 people. Our day support service also provides day opportunities to people, helping them to access their local communities and to reach positive outcomes. Currently, we employ 60 colleagues in total.
