Hazel joined Cornerstone in 2008 as Regional Manager for West of Scotland. She became interim Chief Executive in 2019 and was appointed permanently into the CEO post in July 2020.

Hazel has spent her entire career working in health and social care, starting as a frontline carer before training as a mental health nurse and later achieving a post graduate degree in Community Care from the University of Glasgow in 2004. 

Hazel is not only passionate about ensuring Cornerstone provides the highest quality of care and support, but also that those delivering it are properly respected and valued for the important work they do. 

Hazel sits on the Scottish Government’s Coming Home Senior Strategy Group and is a member of the Coalition of Care and Support Providers in Scotland (CCPS) Board having previously chaired their Adult Social Care Reform Committee.
